Jang Keun Suk heading to Singapore in April
One of Korea's most beloved young actors, Jang Keun Suk will be throwing an exclusive fan-meeting session in Singapore on April 24 as part of his Asia Tour.
Held at the Rock Auditorium in Suntec, this will be an exclusive opportunity to cozy in with your favourite idol. Apart from singing and dancing, the baby-face actor will also be entertaining fans in an interactive game session.
Tickets to Jang's fan-meeting session in Taiwan were snapped up in a record-breaking 3 hours and only a limited number of tickets will be made available for his Singapore showcase. Ticket sales open tomorrow on March 13.

T drama: Down with love overview
Before I knew it, it has been over a month since I last blog anything!!! Gasp!!! Did time really passed by so quickly!!!
In between my busy schedule, I manage to squeeze time in to watch some drama. PrimArily I was in a marathon dash to finish the Taiwanese drama "down with love"... Much that I dun fancy Ella very much as an actress, yet this drama was way better than I had expected. Or perhaps solely because I dint pin any hope and thus was pleasantly surprised by my enjoyment of the series!
I have to confess, I actually kinda like Jerry Yan here. I never like him as an actor previously as I dun think he knows how to act except to act cool in his roles. I didn't think he has any depth to try to capture the essence if the characters that he played in all his previous roles. I dun dislike him, I just think he was a pretty vase. In here, perhaps the role suits him or that he has mature a little and I like him here, if not quite bemused by the guy he played in here. Jerry had captured the sort of rollercoasrer emotions rather well, the anticipation the exitment and the anger... Maybe his personal experience might hVe help himinterpret the reqiuired emotions better here.
In short, I think he suceeded in getting audience to laugh with him and sympathize his predicament.
As for Ella, no offence but she is just not my cup of tea when it comes to romance drama.she is too act cute and her naive silly expression doesn't convince me that I should root for her. I think she is ok incomic roles but in romance with so many cute guys after her is frankly asking too much of my stretch of imagination. I am not saying cute good looking successful man will never fall for plain janen
but truth is, it's as rare as finding a goldmine in your backyard.. Know wat I mean? Acting skills, she is still a little out there for me. Not sure if it's the script or just her. Seeing her and Jerry as a couple gives me the creeps so totally unbelievable..
However the actress who plays Ella sister is good and funny!! I think she did fantastic job protraying a penny conscious yet doting sister...
The story board is that Ella and her sister are abandoned by their debt ridden dad. To raise Ella on her own, the sister abandon her dream as an interior designer and become accountant at a law firm tomake ends meet. Her lawyer boss played by Jerry yan had an underground love relationship with a celeb who is his uni sweetheart. Their relationship is under wrapped as his gf wanted to protect her career as an idol. Only Jerry best fren in uni knows their relationship. His best fren was Also the girl's exbf but he lied that they were not because he wanted to help her get hitched with Jerry. Ella had 2 bad brushes with Jerry and by chance became t
jerry niece and nephew baby sitter. From misunderstding, Jerry originally
misstood Ella as a gay.
To protect her job and her sister killing her from paying penalty if she was fired by Jerry, Ella went along pretending to be gay. By chance she also get to know Jerry best fren when she was ditched by her ex. After spending
much time and several mishap together, Jerry realised he was falling for Ella after his gf decided to reject Jerry proposal and ended their romance. By the time his exbf wanted to patch back, it was too late as his heart was with Ella who didn't realised. The gf unable to accept the facts that she lost Jerry ESP to a plain Jane seemed Jerry best fren help. The dude was still in love with her and thus agreed to help by going after ella himself si that Jerry willback off. It worked inkeeping Jerry from revealing his budding love to Ella but it did not bring Jerry and his ex back. The ex gf schemed and tried all
means to winjerry back but in vain...
Meanwhile Ella sister was devasted as she had carried atorch for Jerry best fren all along. However she learnt to accept the facts after hearing jerrys inner thoughts abt wanting the person he love to be happy...
In the end, well it's a happy ending for Jerry of course but it's nice to see how they get there....
The story is not riveting but if I have time, it does have a strong pull to keep me fixated till I must go out. There are funny moments- more from jerry and quite a good drama to watch to pass time. Would I recommend it, yeah not bad. Why not if u have the time?

New T-Drama: Down with Love" (就想賴著妳)
Just a little variant away from korean drama and variety shows....
Taiwanese drama just started on "Down with Love" (就想賴著妳) starring Jerry yan and Ella from S.H.E.

Plot
Basically Jerry Yan plays Yu Ping, a top-notch brillant lawyer who is good at divorce and inheritance lawsuits. While proficient in his job, he is a very cool, smart, sharp tongued guy and cold too. Not to mention he dislikes children but he had to care for the 2 niece and nephew as his brother died in a accident. The 2 made his life chaotic as they constantly play pranks on the nanny he hired, as they wanted to draw his attention. At absolute exasperation with the kids tactics as well as nannies hitting on him, he finally accepted his secretary suggestion to hire her sister as his nanny, with the assurance that her tomboyish sister will not fall in love with him by lying that she does not like men at all. This begins the cross path and tribulations of relation between the 2. Jerry has a best friend who is in love with Herry's love interest. Incidentally the love interest is some celeb resulting in the hush hush relationship below the media radar.
Ella Chen plays "Yang Guo" and the role of a nanny of two children. She and her sister used to be daughters of some wealthy family but was abandoned by their father when he went bankrupt. Unlike her shrewd sister, Ella's character is more innocent, naive and non calculative. She is under the thumb of her sister when it comes to "earning money". She was ditched by several bf because she was "boring and unsexy" and her first encounter with Jerry had been unplesant resulting in her losing her waitress job, thus ending up as his nanny.
Initial Review
I have seen the first ep and frankly, Jerry isnt that bad here. At least I thought the show was intriguing enough. Ella isnt pretty but I think she deliver her role well enough here for now. Her "blur" look and heart broken scenes were both sad and funny enough too.

busy busy...but never missing my korean variety
Been doing some interviews for some temp job and its taking up so much effort! Hopefully will get to land on something soon, else its annoying to think of the time wasted.
Barely have enough time.
Havent caught the last ep for Liar Game, havent start on Code Blue S2. Arrrrhhhh.
Been holed up at home watching Korean variety shows.
My two favs are "let's go Dream Team Season 2" and "2days 1 nite"
In "Let's go S2", I simply love watching Minho from Shinee...yes I have said this before but saying it again, he is just so damn adorable! I just love him giving it all and his very innocent childlike expression...hard to imagine him as being part of a boyband pop idol...he just come across like any atheletic..he is the fittest of them all and the most determined! There is a site that has all the eps but not all are eng sub... its a pity coz I would love to flag this to anyone who cares to listen...its good! [link]
In "2 days 1 nite", it's sooooo hilarious that it never fail to crack me up in each episode. Not only that, each episode shows different beautiful scenery sites in various parts of Korea. Some scenes are amazing!
The guys's banter, tricks on each other, and even simple flat liners with a poker face just tickles my funny bone! Each guy has his own personality and put together in a pot, the chemistry is explosively good!
I couldnt wait to see what pranks they play on each other and what they will do not to get the penalties...
They are men but they remind u of boys.... its just so fun to watch 6 guys on the road having a good time yet never failing to entertain their viewers...I love the side captions that always make fun of the guys. Poor seunggi, i think he is the sweetest but I always get the sense he is being "bullied" by the rest. Jiwon and MC Mong are the "wild mischieous duo" who are always up to mischief when paired together... Su Guen is another one that cracks me up everytime esp when he fail teh challenges such as forgetting his multiplication table with that "Really?!" expression....ahhh...so much to say but difficult to describe jokes...I dunno if there are anywhere that has the full running epsiodes but here's one sub video i found (link) to bait u:P

J-Music: Let it Go 「Yuna Ito」
I have grow rather fond of Yuna Ito after owning her last "HEART" album featuring "Endless", a theme song from Nana Movie. (Actually I heard the album before watching the movie) *Awww she is sooooo sexy & pretty!!!*
So comes her recent album "Let it Go", and I thought of checking it out. There are 4 tracks, 2 songs and 2 instrumental. While Let it Go is fast becoming my favorite, I still have doubts about Happy days which hasnt quite charmed me yet.

K-Music: I hope (FT Island)
Those who read my earlier sharepost will know that "I Hope" is my current fav track from FT Island's recent "Double Date" album release. It's hip, its catchy, funky and happy!
The MV is quite cute, the boys are all quite cute but for me, esp Hongki is quite cute with his charm- the bashfulness, the smile, the wink and the adorable boyishness. Not to forget the pink striped vest that somehow reminds me of the cottoncandy man in carnivals..... I like the little boys (and girls) too, mimicking their "idols", esp the little one with the hairbrush pretending to be a singer like Hongki... :)
